FAQ | Legacy Drive-In Cinema | Movies in Victoria BC
How much do tickets cost?
Tickets are $30 per vehicle, so you can bring as many people that will legally fit into your vehicle for the price of one ticket.
What is your refund policy?
There are no refunds on admission, unless the show is cancelled by Legacy Drive-In due to weather, power outage, or another emergency situation.
Is the outdoor theater safe with COVID-19?
Your safety is our priority!
Click here to see what Legacy is doing to make the Drive-In Cinema a safe environment for all. Our health and safety measures include making sure that vehicles are parked at least 2 meters / 6 feet apart, and encouraging all attendees to stay in their vehicle throughout the movie.
We ask that you help keep each other safe by following these rules.
When should I arrive?
You will be guided to a parking space when you arrive, starting with the front (closest to the screen) and moving toward the back of the lot.
We suggest that you show up 30 minutes before the screening to ensure that you get a spot near the front.
How do I get to the venue?
Click here to open our location in Google Maps, or view our directions and parking layout page here.
Do I need to bring my ticket with me?
Yes, please bring a printed ticket or a copy of your ticket confirmation on your mobile device. A staff member will need to scan the QR code that you received with your confirmation to grant you entry into the lot, and you don’t even have to roll down your window!
How will I be able to hear the movie audio?
The audio is sent to your vehicle using an FM transmitter, which means you can listen through your car radio.
If you’re concerned about your vehicle's battery, you can also bring a battery-powered radio with you.
What if my car battery dies?
If your car battery dies, a staff member will be present to give your vehicle a jump after all other vehicles have vacated the lot.
If you need a jump, please wait in your vehicle or contact a Legacy Drive-In staff member at (236) 300-2216.
What if it rains?
We want to make sure that you have the best experience. However, the theatre will continue to operate in rain or shine.
If it starts to rain during the movie, we suggest you use your windshield wipers.
Can I bring my monster truck/RV/School bus?
For the sake of all attendees, we ask that you do not show up with an oversized vehicle.
If you arrive with an oversized vehicle that could prevent people behind you from seeing the screen, you will be asked to park in sections E or F. See the parking lot layout here.
Can I reserve a specific parking spot?
To ease the flow of traffic and ensure Covid-19 safety guidelines, Legacy Drive-In does not allow spot reservations.
If you would like a good spot closer to the screen, please arrive 30 minutes before the selected movie showtime.
Can I sit in a lawn chair outside of my car?
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, you must stay in your vehicle at all times unless you are using the washroom facilities.
When restrictions are eased, we will announce this officially and allow more liberal seating arrangements.
Can I sit in the trunk of my car or bed of my truck?
Yes, but for the sake of other guests, please make sure that your trunk lid does not obstruct the view of the people behind you.
We suggest bringing rope or bungie cords to hold it level with the roof of your vehicle.
Can I bring my own food?
Yes, but you can also pre-order food and other items, such as lavender hand sanitizer, on the Legacy Drive-In website.
All items for purchase will be provided by local vendors in order to support local businesses.
How do I order food?
You can order items in advance when purchasing your ticket.
Please note that all food items must be purchased at least 24 hours before your movie showtime.
